BE CAREFUL

"YOU CAN'T BE EARTHLY FOCUSED AND BE HEAVENLY MINDED. THESE ARE TWO PARALLEL LINES THAT CAN'T MEET".

You can't be here and be there at the sane time, is either you are earthly or Godly. I can't fathom why men suddenly focus their attention on what God would give them rather than God himself. You can't be after the material fragments and enjoy the abundant  and fullness of  God. Seek God and not His hands. When you do, you will not have access to his hands alone but all of Him. Matt 6:33.

There are lot more you could get from God than those worldly materialism. Seek and constantly maintain His presence you will have rest for your soul. Psalm 16:11. You cant have the presence of God with you and lack His treasures. Seeking God ceaselessly is the secret to enjoying ceaseless flow of His abundance of blessings.

It is impossible to stay with God and be void of His provisions and supplies. The swift and smart negotiation for God's blessing with little or no interest in His person would end a man in the valley of lack and emptiness. Stop playing game with your maker. 

The people of Israel perished in the wilderness because of this crucial issue, they only cry to God for their needs after which they don't have anything doing with the Lord. We all know their end despite the wonderful promises that God had for them. Friend, why are you so carried away by your material needs and neglect the need to seek God and his righteousness? All efforts to gather the world to yourself without interest in God are efforts in futility. Stop investing in vanity, be eternity driven.

Yes, it is very true that you go to church, you attend prayer meetings, you are in the church working force etc. Are these not just  mere religious activism directed towards accessing the hands of God for your selfish blessings. My friend, the life of a man is not measured by the abundance of wealth he accumulates but by the abundance of God in him. (LUKE 12:15).

Friend, don't be material driven, If your main  reason for following God is for the goodies attached to following Him, then you have a long rope to pull. It is a pity  that we have majority of the people in the church today in such shoe and obviously it is very dangerous for there spiritual growth. You can't be pursuing earthly or material things and be expecting heavenly reward. You will only be rewarded according to your work. (Gal 6:7)

Listen friend, it is possible that you have come to God because of your unpleasant situation and life challenges but it would be very terrible and disastrous to remain there without an encounter with the Lord that would place you above your problems and the devil.

The only way to escaping the snares of the enemies is to locate the secret place of the most high and stay there because it takes the dwellers in the secret place of the most high God to abide under the shadow of the almighty. So, running in and out of God's presence and abode is dangerous. Let Christ be the centre.

PLS, PRAY WITH ME

O LORD GOD, SET MY HEART ON FIRE FOR YOU. HELP MY HEART NOT TO FOCUS ON THE GOODIES AND MATERIALISM THAT RAVAGE OUR PRESENT WORLD. HELP ME TO SEEK YOU WITH THE WHOLE OF MY HEART AND TREASURE YOUR PRESENCE ALWAYS MORE THAN SILVER AND GOLD. AMEN.
