THE CRY FOR HELP PART 2

Seek God's Help 

Man can fail you and you could equally fail yourself. It is only your trust in God that can infuse in you the trust for unshakable future. Friend, you need to submit and let go your self developed pattern of help which has been landing you in failure for a long time. You need to stop putting total trust in yourself and others, you must shift your attention totally to God. 

I know you have so many plans mapped out for your survival, self developmental plans will only end a man where his reason stops. It takes the revealed and inspired principles of God for one to live an outstanding life. Divine inspiration is needed for living a meaningful and sacred life.

Repent

The pathway way to accessing and enjoying divine help is repentance. No one can receive the help of God when such believes he can help himself. You must come to the place of repentance and submit totally to God. Your own testimony can also be “Ebenezer". This word actually comes from the Bible. In 1 Samuel 7, during the end of the time of the judges, Israel experienced revival under the leadership of Samuel. 

Prior to this time, Samuel gathered the people at Mizpah where  the nation repented of their sins, they destroy their idols, and began to seek the Lord (1 Samuel 7:2–4). You can't just go ahead seeking the Lord, you need to let go those idols. Access to divine help is presupposed by a genuine repentance. Repent now. 

Your repentance is not complete if you still refuse to let go your past way of life. You must be ready to do away with how you have been doing it and embrace how God wants you to be living. Lay all your ideologies down at the feet of Jesus. Get rid of all manner of idols for it is time to seek the Lord for help. Make the decision to follow Jesus alone today for a eternal relationship. Let your song always be 'thy will be done'.

Take some minute to talk to God concerning your life today. This is your hour to receive divine help. Cry with a loud voice to the Helper of the helpless for a total change.

Victory is Yours

Nothing can overcome a man whose way is right with the Lord. It was during the time of repentance and renewal that the enemy attacked Israelites: “While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle” (1 Samuel 7:10). Israelites went out to battle against the invaders, and God sent them supernatural help: 

“That day the LORD thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such panic that they were routed before the Israelites” (verse 10). I see you conquering that wrong attitude that has been opening the door for demons to manipulate you. Continue to walk in victory today.

You Can Recover All

Go and take back all that the enemies has taken away from you. Israel’s victory over the Philistines was decisive. Take a step of faith today and do those things you think you can't accomplish. Several cities that the Philistines had captured were restored to Israel, and it was a long time before the Philistines tried to invade Israel again (1 Samuel 7:13–14). Because you have made up your mind to partner with Jesus as your proceed in your journey in life you will not be subdued again.

I send you forth by the authority of heaven to go and posses your territory back from invaders. Those things that have be taking away or stolen from you by the reason of your laxity and character illness you shall recover in seven folds. You are now rightly positioned for exploits and victory over all your enemies. Please take over. 

Take Note of Today

Any change that is not traceable is not a change. A victory that can not be remembered is not victory. To commemorate the divine victory of the Israelites, “Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying, ‘Thus far the LORD has helped us’” (verse 12). This is your own day of visitation.

Always mark the point and place of your visitation, it will enhance your faith and trust in the Lord for more of His help. You must raise an altar on your victory today. Keep the fire burning incessantly and lay hold on eternal life. You will continue to enjoy perpetual victories in Jesus name. 

Be a Testifier

The testimony of the Israelites was "Ebenezer", which means “stone of help.” From then on, every time an Israelite saw the stone erected by Samuel, he would have a tangible reminder of the Lord’s power and protection which stimulates confidence in them.

 The “stone of help” marked the spot where the enemies had been routed and God’s promise to bless His repentant people and thus they were honored. Every help received from God must be maintained, by constantly testifying to the goodness of God. Learn to be grateful to God and you will continue to enjoy divine help.
