DIVINE ENCOUNTER PART 1 BY TOSIN ADEGOKE

"Every individual will die a commoner without an encounter with God"

There is a giant in every man craving for manifestation. The inability for this giant to find full expression brings unalterable depression and a notable relegation to him. This giant is a dimension of God in us that makes us extraordinarily fit to face and conquer the puzzles and challenges of life. There is a life-giving force that provokes the rising of this giant in a man. This force is released via encounter with God.

Encounter reveals the unknown giant that lies unproductive in a man and supplies an unprecedented ability, energy and power for exploits. Every encounter launches a man into deeper dimensions of the expression of the life of Christ. The more your encounters, the better the dimensions of your spiritual operations. That is, every man’s ability is limited by the limit of his limited encounters.

"Every encounter opens up a man to a new dimension of God which by implication enhances unusual expression of the divinity in humanity."

What encounter does is that, it gives a man a touch of divinity that would  persist till eternity. If such a man can embrace and manage the experience, eternity will be resident in him. You don't need to die before you enjoy heaven. Seek encounter, and you will enjoy heaven on earth. There is a divine ability in Every man waiting to be expressed. Encounter is the key to unlock them for manifestation.

Why Encounter?

It is so sad that man threw away the dimension of God that was imputed into Him from creation. Encounter is the pathway to restoring divinity into humanity. The need for encounter began when man was disrobed of the glory of God by the devil through the sin of disobedient, (see Gen 3). This experience naked man of God’s glory to the extent that he was unable to fellowship with God; he hid himself from God because of his apparent nakedness, shame and lost of boldness to face God and fellowship with Him.

Fear gained entrance into man’s life (see Gen 3:10) because the glory of God had departed from his life. For the first time, the voice of the Lord became so terrific and fearful to him. A man, who as full access to God and enjoyed fellowship with God became a stranger to his father. Sin has the capacity to rub man or empty man of God’s glory.

Man was used to the glory of God so much that the misplacement of the glory left in him an unquenchable hunger for vain and counterfeit glories. One beautiful thing about the glory of God is that, it house every necessary thing that a man needs to survive in life. Such as; peace, boldness, covering, protection, relationship, security, and authority etc. all these are encapsulated in God’s glory. As a matter of fact, a lost of this glory is a lost of life.

Life will become meaningless and terrible without glory. The little drama that happened between Eve and Satan took away all the aforementioned packages. Man is not more than an animal if the glory of God is absent in his life, because in this glory lie dominion, and power over the crippling things and the birds of the air.

Before the declaration of dominion and other blessings over man in the garden of Eden, the glory of God took precedence. The Bible says, “So God created man in His own image...” being created in the image of God was not limited to the physical appearance of man but that the spiritual dimension of God was released to man.

As a matter of fact, the image of God is spiritual (John 4:24). For Him to make us in His image, it shows that we are carrier of His nature, we have in us the DNA of God, and dominion is in our gene. Therefore, the subsequent blessings that God released on man can only take root in man if he maintains his status as a carrier of God’s glory and nature.

So, the target of the devil is not just to collect or stop the flow of your blessings but to stab the life of God or the glory of God in you to death. He knows that by this you are a walkover. God threw out man from the garden of Eden which He made for them because man was spiritually unfit to habituate or dwell there again (Gen 3:23), and he placed cherubim with a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life (Verse 24) lest man goes back to the garden and commit Greater atrocities. What a pathetic experience!

Since this incident happened, God sought for a way to reconcile man to himself so that man can continue to worship Him. For this singular reason, God comes down to search for a man who will be available to fellowship with Him. So, the experience that takes place when God comes down to visit man on the earth is called encounter. That is, encounter takes place when man received the visitation of heaven.

Lord, we need your touch for an encounter, we are set!

Is this your Prayer too?
