DON'T BE NAKED By Tosin Adegoke

"God clothed the ground with beautiful flowers and as for us He clothed us with His presence. Please don't go naked"

Insanity is not only peculiar to those who are mentally derailed, it is the lost of santity of life. Many are working about seemingly normal yet, they are abnormal in reality. They are "okay" upstairs but imbalance in their spirit. They are covered from head to toe yet, they are as exposed as the sky. 

Nakedness has become a common phenomenon in our world today. Men and women go about naked without any respect for their precious lives. What shall we do to rescue men and save them from this unhealthy appearances everywhere in our society? Many who could speak big grammars and are said to be rich or influential are running up and down in the society in search of security because of their emptiness and nakedness.

During my undergraduate days in school, I was on my way to class and the Holy Spirit whispered to me that I was naked. I checked my body and discovered I was fully kitted and physically fitted. I became so worried because of the remark of the Holy Spirit on my appearance that very morning. 

Though strange, it was a straight and direct confrontation which revealed my spiritual status at that hour of the day. I managed to finish class that day and I rushed to my secret place  for a special spiritual rejuvenation. Paying more attention to your spiritual growth will safe you from several molestations that people experience in the world. You can't be termed a fool when you are full of God's Spirit. You will always express different dimension of God's ability if you soak yourself in His presence always.

This experience opened my eyes to the reality of my spirit  man. I became so conscious of the person of the Holy Spirit so much that I speak with Him as I would speak to my friends. The consciousness of this special personality is the key to your confidence or boldness in life. You cannot escape fear and its torments without the consciousness of the person of the Holy Spirit in your walk with God. It is clearly stated in the scriptures:

2 Timothy 1:7  "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

It is impossible to be fearful when you are full of the spirit of God.  You can't be aware of your nakedness in the spirit and be sleeping around. The highest  level of poverty is the poverty of the Spirit. It would be advantageous to any one who recognises this and turn to God for help. God is still in search of men who are poor in spirit so that he can cloth them and cover their nekadness. Friend, God is still in the business of  decorating men.  

Another key word in the above scripture is "sound mind". If you see a naked man walking in the street what comes to your mind? You will quickly conclude that he is not in his right state of mind. The soundness of our mind is contingent on the soundness of out spirit. If a man is weak spiritually he would be weak in other areas of his life. 

Without doubt, the nakedness of a man is the absence of God's presence in his life. A man is not more than nothing without the presence of God in his life. The strength of a man does not lie in his big muscles and hefty appearance, instead it is dependent on his spiritual stature.  You cannot be as thin as a broom stick in the spirit and expect the Goliath in your life to be moved away. 

David was not physically energetic when compared to the stature of his opponent Goliath, yet he brought Goliath down and cut off his head by the strength in his Spirit.  Imagine  the stature of David's brothers yet they lack the required strength to confront the threat posed by the uncircumcised warrior called Goliath of Gath. Friend, don't be too conscious of what you will put on in the physical while you are naked in the spirit. 

Listen friend,  God spoke to the land and it brought forth plants, thus, plant cannot separate itself from the land, if it does, it will surely die. He spoke to the water and it brought forth fishes, so water became the habitation of fishes and sea creatures. Take a fish out of water, it will not survive. When it was time for God to make man, He made man from himself. The survival of man is in the presence of God. 

The death warrant of any man has been signed the day he steps out of God's presence. As water covers the nakedness of fishes so is the nakedness of man covered by the presence of God.

Why do you feel comfortable staying out of God's presence? Without His presence I am dead,  without his presence I am powerless, strenghless, and useless. My cry everyday is that God's presence should not leave me at any time. Many had confronted me with a question trying to know why God shows forth in my meetings... Friend my answer has been centered on cultivating and maintaining God's presence. 

Don't pray to God to show forth in any meeting, carry God everywhere you go through unbreakable fellowship with Him.  Yeah, God can show face in a meeting, there is nothing bad in that. That was the popular experience of the Old Testament men. The New Testament gospel is preached by men who carry God everywhere they go. We are carriers of the Holy Ghost and so we are carriers of God.

Galatians 5:25  "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."

It is the God in us that makes the difference. Instead of going naked, go clothed with God's ever abiding presence by His Spirit!
