QUENCH NOT THE SPIRIT PART 2 BY TOSIN ADEGOKE

Invest in your Spirit 

Don't stay where you are conveniently without anything, be tired of your present level! What you are earning in God today is nothing to be compared with the glory that lies fallow; untouched in you. Permit me to announce to you that, this your level of impact could be improved upon. Where you are now is your choice, you can always get better. All you need for your spiritual advancement have been provided. God is not a partial God, he rewards accordingly. 

You can gain new spiritual height by investing more in your spirit to enjoy maximally, the celestial supplies. Where you are now is a result of your limited investment and commitment to God.  You are expected to be blessed and be a blessing to others. But many who are unable to scratch this level of spiritual influence could be said to be spiritually bankrupt. 

Where you used to be when you gave your life to Jesus is where you are till now? yet you cry for more manifestations and blessings? How shall this be? Yes brother, you have the key which is your faith but its as if your faith is no longer working because you have nothing in your account again for lack of spiritual deposit. Going to ATM machine to cash money without any deposit into your bank account is a waste of time. You may insert your ATM card hundred times, you will always come out with the same result.  

Many wish to visit the bank of the Spirit and make withdrawal and all they get is nothing but disappointment. If you don't save in the bank of your spirit, you are not expected to make request for what you don't have there. May be you are reading this post and you don't even know you have a place in the spirit where you make deposit and invest for the time of need, you must come to this knowledge right now. Remember, never be too conscious of your physical pulse while you are spiritually Bankrupt.

 Some who have spiritual account fail to invest into their account daily, while some don't even know they have anything called spiritual account because, they fail to recognize and embrace what Christ has done for them on the cross. Men who are crawling and languishing in spiritual poverty on earth are mostly people who lack spiritual investment. 

To take your place here, you must learn to invest in your spirit. Many invest in certificate thinking that will rescue them from suffering and pains yet they have not escaped demonic tortures. What scares the devil is not your big grammars, rather it is the word of God that has settled in your spirit. 

There are wars in many lives today because there is no word in their spirit. Most Christians have starved their spirit to death for lack spiritual food (The word of God). The most careless attitude of Christians is over concentration on their material needs at the expense of their spiritual growth.

Faith is the Key

You might not be able to take anything out of this spiritual account without faith.  Faith is the key to all that have been made available to you in the Spirit. Without faith you can't explore all that Jesus as provided for your conquest on earth. Galatians 3:14  That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

It is possible you have given your life to Jesus since 1900, and till now you are still struggling to exercise authority as a son of God if you lack the ATM card which is your faith. You are more than who you think you are, you are equal to the task. You think you don't have anything because you don't know your position or your placement in Christ or perhaps you lack the key to accessing divine blessings.

The life wire for our Christian survival is our spirit man. Don't shot it down because His demise is the beginning of shame and eternal damnation. Don't cripple yourself by not catering for your spirit man. The greatest form of poverty is the one of the Spirit. Run and escape spiritual poverty by engaging spiritual investment by faith. 

Pray Always

A man who throws away his prayer life for tribulation, trials and lack of strength have signed his cheque for spiritual death and destruction. You must also learn to say like Nehemiah that "...the joy of the Lord is our strength" (Neh 8:10). Stand up from where you are and speak positively to every situation of your life and you will see God move on your behalf. Don't give up, please move up in the spirit.

1 Thess. 5:17 "Pray without ceasing." The best time to pray is when you don't fee like praying. Intensify your prayers to stay glowing in the spirit. Jude 1:20-21 "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." God is on your side. 

Ephesians 6:18 "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints"

Rejoice Always 

You can't effectively invest or advance your spiritual capacity when you are always in perpetual sorrow. To keep your heart and your body in good condition, you must learn to always rejoice in the spirit. What you are passing through  now is not there to kill you or take your life untimely. It was placed there to distract you and by implication, counter your spiritual progress. Let us see the scriptures Proverbs 15:13 "A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken."

Please friend, be joyful always even when you don't feel like, let God be the source of your joy. 1 Samuel 2:1  And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation. Many things will fight your rising, no doubt, but cultivating the habit of rejoicing always will enhance your spiritual growth.

The absence of joy in your life is the absence of strength. When you are joyful you will always be full of strength and vigor. The first target of the devil in a believer is his joy because he knows that, immediately his joy is taken, such life will be subsided and his spirit will be cast down. Proverbs 17:22  "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones." Let the well of joy spring forth in your heart this season.
